Natural Pure Environment

Ireland has fertile soil, a mild climate and plenty of rain. This unique environment provides natural breeding conditions for farming and dairy production. According to reports, 4.4 million hectares of Ireland’s 9.6 million hectares of arable land are used for agriculture and food production. More than 80% of the land used is green high-quality grass land. Therefore, the Irish livestock industry is mainly grass-fed, and its climate is particularly suitable for the growth of ryegrass, a high-quality livestock feed. Ireland ranks among the best in the world in terms of grassland area, grass growth rate and water resources.

Perfect Climate

Shannon, Ireland is located at 53 degrees north latitude, which is equivalent to the northernmost Mohe in China. However, due to the influence of the warm Atlantic current, the Irish winter has a suitable mild climate with the year round temperature always between 0-25 ℃. This makes perfect conditions for grass growth. These suitable and mild conditions enable Irish dairy cows to live on natural outdoor grasslands for up to 300 days a year, enjoying clean air, abundant food and maintaining a "happy mood". These factors ensure that dairy cows can produce high-quality products such as grass-fed milk. Currently, only about 10% of the world's milk is outdoor grass-fed milk. It is precisely because of the scarcity of grass-fed milk sources that grass-fed products are particularly rare.

Ireland currently has about 140,000 farms, more than 17,000 dairy farms, and 1.6 million dairy cows. The southwest of Ireland incorporating the Shannon region has more than 12,000 dairy farms, accounting for about 72.5% of the total. In addition, the number of sheep in the southwest of Ireland account for one-third of all sheep in Ireland, about 1.4 million.

On average, each farm in Ireland has 32 hectares of land, almost all of which are family-run farms engaged in livestock and poultry with each farm following strict standards passed on from generation to generation.
